James Prather is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Abilene Christian University in Texas, USA. He is a human-computer interaction researcher, often working in the domain of computing education, such as the design of programming error messages or novice programmer metacognition.

Brett Becker is an Assistant Professor at University College Dublin in Ireland. His research interests include novice programmer behaviour, the psychology of programming, tool feedback such as compiler error messages, and the interaction of natural language and learning programming.

Paul Denny is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of Auckland. His research interests include developing and evaluating tools for supporting collaborative learning, exploring the ways that students engage with online learning environments, and improving the feedback generated in such platforms.
