Industry – Academia Collaboration Panel

Australia is a world leader in the quality of research but falls behind when it comes to commercialising good ideas and collaborating with industry,” Minster for Education, Simon Birmingham.


This panel will provide a better understanding of a clearer picture of the engagement and impact of (Computer Science, Data Science and Information Technology) research conducted in our universities to ensure we are providing the right incentives, culture and practices to foster collaborative research that returns economic dividends and importantly, improves the lives of all Australians.

The Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia, CORE, is an association of university departments of computer science in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to 2004 it was known as the Computer Science Association, CSA.
