HDR Session: Research Methodologies for Computer Science

Chair: Dr Lina Yao1

1ARC DECRA, Senior Lecturer, UNSW, Sydney, Australia

This session will provide a valuable opportunity for HDR students to gain deeper understanding of research methodologies applied in computer science. We will bring together a group of panellists that will share their views on research methodologies and provide insights on a successful HDR experience. The panel combines outstanding early career researchers and senior academics, including:

  • Boualem Benatallah, Scientia Professor, UNSW
  • Young Choon Lee, Senior Lecturer, Macquarie University
  • Guodong Long, Senior Lecturer, UTS
  • Thomas Sewell, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden (2019 CORE John Makepeace Bennett Award)
  • Shui Yu, Professor, UTS
